Winnie the Pooh Newsletter
September 2012
Dear Parents,
Hello! My name is Miss Christine and I, along with Miss Kim and Miss Anne would like to welcome you to the Winnie the Pooh Class. We are looking forward to a very special year with your child. This is one of the most exciting times in your child's life; their language will be expanding, they will start to include others in play, potty training will begin and much more. We are excited to be able to help with your childs developement in these and other areas.
After you drop your child off, say a quick, positive goodbye and check for a teacher if you think your child may have a few tears. Please do not peek through the window, if you'd like we can give you a phone call after we've settled in to let you know how your child is doing.
Class time is from 8:30-4:00. If your child is in early care, you will need to bring your child to the Mickey and Minnie Room, and if your child is in aftercare, pickup is in that room as well. Please remember to bring Picture Identification with you when you are picking up your child until we get to know you. If someone else is picking up your child, please remind them to bring picture ID and please make sure they are listed as an authorized person to pick up.
Our daily schedule includes many fun filled activities, such as centers, circle time, gym, music, playground and arts & crafts. Gym is on Thurs., so please dress your child in sneakers on this day.
Lunch time is 12:00. Please send your child's lunch in a lunchbox with an ice pack enclosed every day, along with 2 drinks. We have a microwave, but we are only able to heat up items that take up to 45 seconds, as we have a lot of heat ups.
We have several parties throughout the year, and if you'd like to celebrate your child's birthday, please feel free. Some suggestions are munchkins, mini bagels or cupcakes.
We are looking forward to a wonderful year with your child, full of safety, care and love.
Thank you
Miss Christine, Miss Kim & Miss Anne
